Apart from practising as a multi-disciplinary designer and entrepreneur, Benny has also been teaching at major design academies and universities in Hong Kong, namely The School of Design of the Polytechnic University, Hong Kong Artschool, and the Academy of Visual Arts of Hong Kong Baptist University.

In 2006, to further examine and repurpose his role as a designer, Benny closed his design agency to work in developing and running the first organic farm in Peng Chau. Benny acquired his MA in Sustainable Design in UK in 2009. Thereafter, Benny has focused and fostered sustainable and educational projects in Hong Kong, China, Myanmar, Macau and India, utilising and integrating the skills and knowledge he has accumulated in the areas of design, sustainability, and education.
