A graphic designer, advertising art director, and became a fashion designer, Chan graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic University 1992 and the Royal College of Arts London in 1994.
In 1995, Chan returned to Hong Kong and set up his fashion label “37 degree 2” for 7 years. He has been invited to Tokyo Fashion Week in 1999, and New York Fashion Week in 2001. He also served in Li-ning and Youngor as creative director from 2006 to 2009.
Chan has taught at the Swire School of Design, Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 1996 to 2005. His teaching included fashion and film, fashion design, garment construction and fashion illustration. He was also a fashion design professor at Savannah College of Art and Design (HK) in 2012-13.
In 2012, Chan published his first book called “Chinese Menswear” (《中國男裝》) by Joint Publishing (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd.
